it's a potcake jounrney ...
Top 10 facts about the Potcake dog, a unique dog of the Caribbean islands with a loyal and affectionate temperament.

Each Potcake looks different, but they share some typical characteristics.
Most of them resemble a shepherd mix breed, characterized by a longer face, pointed ears, a smooth coat, and a balanced, athletic build. But that does not mean they can not look different. Many of them have wavy or shaggy coats, and many of them do not resemble shepherds that much, but rather terriers or retrievers.
The Potcake has a long history in the Caribbean, mostly in the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, but also on St. Lucia, and, for example, the Dominican Republic. They evolved from feral Caribbean dogs, and over time, they naturally crossed with various dogs of different types, such as terriers, bully breeds, or Carolina dogs. Because of that, the Potcake dog is not unified in appearance or temperament, and it is more of a crossbreed or dog type rather than a purebred dog.
